How we compared the 8 VPS providers in France
We kept providers that rent a VPS hosted in France and rank on Google France for "vps france", "vps pas cher" or "vps windows france": OVHcloud, OuiHeberg, PulseHeberg, OnetSolutions, VeryCloud, HelloServ, HolyCloud and rdp.monster. IONOS was left out: its VPS page offers Germany, Spain, the UK and the USA, but no French datacenter.
Each provider is judged on what a buyer actually pays for, in this order of weight:
- What the entry price buys: cores (dedicated or shared), RAM, disk and network port.
- Windows: the real monthly price of a Windows VPS, licence included.
- Privacy and payment: whether the terms allow identity checks, and whether you can pay in cryptocurrency.
- Delivery time after payment.
- Refunds, commitment and support as written in the terms.
Prices are copied as each provider shows them: most French hosts display prices excluding VAT (HT), OuiHeberg and PulseHeberg show prices including VAT, and rdp.monster bills in US dollars.

The server is ready about 10 seconds after payment. You can pay by card, PayPal or in 10+ cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, USDT and Monero, and the only account data we ask for is an email address: no identity document, at sign-up or later.
- 6 GB of RAM and dedicated cores on the entry plan: three times the RAM of the 2 GB entry plans in this list
- Windows Server preinstalled at the same price as Linux
- Ready in about 10 seconds, 24/7

2. OuiHeberg: the best Windows offer and the best reputation
OuiHeberg (OUIHEBERG SARL, Paris) runs its main site in Marseille, at Digital Realty MRS2, with the same plans in Frankfurt, Amsterdam and New York. Prices are shown including VAT and without commitment. Its cheapest plan, VPS Linux 01G at €1.80/mo, has no IPv4 address (IPv6 only); with an IPv4, VPS Linux 04G costs €7/mo incl. VAT for 2 vCores, 4 GB of DDR4 ECC and 45 GB of NVMe on a 1-10 Gbps port, delivered in 60 seconds. Its Windows VPS 04G costs €8.39/mo incl. VAT with the licence included ("the Windows Server licence is included in the displayed price"), for 3 vCores, 4 GB and 60 GB of NVMe: the cheapest Windows offer with a licence in this comparison.
It also has the strongest reputation of the French hosts we compared: 4.6/5 from 775 reviews on its Trustpilot page on 8 November 2026, and it accepts a dozen cryptocurrencies. On the other hand, its terms say the customer "undertakes to prove their identity [...] by providing supporting documents", and refunds within 14 days are made as account credit only.

- Windows from €8.39 incl. VAT, licence included
- 4.6/5 from 775 Trustpilot reviews
- 12 cryptocurrencies, 60-second delivery, anti-DDoS included
- Proof of identity required by its terms
- Entry plan at €1.80 without an IPv4

VeryCloud (Paris) hosts its VPS at Telehouse 3 near Paris. The KVM SSD START plan costs €4.99/mo excl. VAT for 2 vCores, 4 GB of DDR4 ECC and 32 GB of SSD on a 10 Gbps port. Its Windows Starter plan costs €7.99/mo excl. VAT and, unlike most competitors, "the Microsoft licence is included in the price". 4. OVHcloud: the best-known brand
OVHcloud is the French market leader, with datacenters in Gravelines, Strasbourg and Roubaix. VPS-1 has 2 vCores, 4 GB of RAM and 40 GB of NVMe on a 500 Mbps port. Its headline price, €3.81/mo excl. VAT, requires paying 12 months upfront according to OVHcloud's order catalog; without commitment it is €4.49 excl. VAT. Windows is not available on VPS-1: it starts with VPS-2 plus an €8/mo excl. VAT licence, so about €15.21 excl. VAT a month on a 12-month commitment.

- Big provider with several French datacenters
- 4 GB and 40 GB NVMe on the entry plan
- 14-day withdrawal right
- Lowest price tied to a 12-month commitment
- Windows licence billed on top (€8 excl. VAT)
- Shared vCPU, no cryptocurrency, documents may be requested
5. HolyCloud: the most locations
HolyCloud (GENIUSWEER SAS, Paris) sells its VPS Starter at €4.79/mo excl. VAT with no commitment: 2 vCPU, 2 GB of DDR4 and 20 GB of NVMe, network up to 10 Gbps, backups and anti-DDoS included. The same plans exist in 8 locations, from Paris to Montreal and New Delhi, and its VPS pages list Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and USDT. Its terms allow it to ask for your identity card when fraud is suspected. We compare the two in detail on our HolyCloud alternative page.
Its reputation deserves a closer look. Its homepage displays "Excellent: 4.8 out of 127 reviews" on Trustpilot, but on 8 November 2026 its Trustpilot page showed 4.2/5 from 63 reviews, 13 of them in the last 12 months. 8% of the reviews give one or two stars and describe maintenance outages without notice, billing disputes after a cancellation request and, in a 2021 review, a VPS that crashed with all its data lost. HolyCloud replies to most negative reviews and disputes some of them; Trustpilot does not verify the facts reported.

- 8 locations at the same price
- Backups and anti-DDoS included
- 4 cryptocurrencies accepted, 14-day money-back advertised
- 2 GB of RAM on the entry plan
- Trustpilot score (4.2/5) below the 4.8 shown on its site
- Windows licence terms not stated, ID card may be requested
6. HelloServ: generous specs, but no refunds
HelloServ (Flexicore SAS, Paris) runs its VPS in two points of presence in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. The Intel Starter plan costs €5.82/mo excl. VAT (€6.98 incl. VAT) for 2 vCPU, 4 GB of RAM and 50 GB of SSD, delivered in 60 seconds. Its specific VPS terms guarantee 150 Mbps on a shared 1 Gbps port. The terms are blunt on refunds: "all sales are final and no refund will be made, whatever the reason".

- 4 GB and 50 GB on the entry plan
- Delivered in 60 seconds
- Windows from €6.99 excl. VAT
- No refund at all
- 150 Mbps guaranteed bandwidth
- No cryptocurrency, Windows licence is a paid option
7. OnetSolutions: the lowest price with an IPv4
OnetSolutions (Gironde) has the lowest price with an IPv4 address in this comparison: GP-2 at €3.99/mo excl. VAT (€3.19 billed yearly) for 2 shared vCPU, 2 GB of RAM and 20 GB of NVMe, delivered in 10 seconds and payable in more than 100 cryptocurrencies. The trade-off is the network: 150 Mbps on that plan. Windows starts with GP-4 plus a €5.80 licence, €13.79/mo excl. VAT in total, and its terms allow it to request identity documents before or after the order.

- Lowest price with an IPv4 (€3.99 excl. VAT)
- 100+ cryptocurrencies, 10-second delivery
- 30-day refund on a first order
- 150 Mbps port and shared vCPU on the entry plan

VAT for 2 vCPU, 2 GB of RAM and 60 GB of NVMe on a 2.5 Gbps port, but its own page warns that on Classic Cloud "the CPU is shared and its performance is not guaranteed". Windows Server is only offered on the Performance range, with the licence as a paid option. Support is by ticket only, and its terms list ID, proof of address or company registration as possible checks.

- Price shown including VAT: €5/mo
- 60 GB of NVMe and 2.5 Gbps
- Crypto accepted (BTC, ETH, LTC and more)
- Shared CPU with no guaranteed performance
- Windows only on the Performance range, licence extra
